| Alright alright – time to finally concede to the heaping pile of fall semester homework and say farewell to the dwindling bliss of summer living. I know I know, I complain (excessively) about summer heat, bugs, sweat etc. – but those are all weather concerns. For the most part, summer treated us really, really well – especially at the end of July and throughout August. In May and June, despite Javi working strange hours and my need to finish up my thesis, we had a great time with the garden, hanging out with the doggos, catching up with friends, going to weddings and taking a quick weekend trip to Cali. Once late July hit it was a whirlwind of travel to Chicago, California and Colorado, seeing family, friends, relaxing and taking advantage of vacation time. Before the summer started I jumped on the instagram train (follow @leslieannrod) and never looked back – I’m already well above 700 photos (!!). On a recent road trip I started making a gigantic collage using instapicframe (another iPhone app) of some of my favorite summer instagram photos – starting with photos from May when Dani, Gurt, Sarah, David, Wink and Chris came to visit and going all the way through our CO trip in August. Below is the end result – my farewell to summer! | Bueno, bueno – por fin tengo un poco de tiempo libre entre toda la pila de tareas de este semestre para decirle adios a lo poquito que queda de vida veraniega. Lo se, lo se, me quejo (excesivamente) del calor del verano, bichos, sudor, etc.. – pero esos son problemas con el tiempo. La mayor parte del tiempo, el verano nos trato muy muy bien – especialmente al final de Julio y todo Agosto. En Mayo y Junio, a pesar de las horas de trabajo de Javi y mi necesidad por terminar mi tesis, lo pasamos bien con la huerta, pasando el rato con los perros, poniendonos al dia con amigos, llendo a matromonios y viajando a California. Cuando el final de Julio llego, viajamos a Chicago, California, y Colorado, viendo a familiaresm amigos, relajandonos y aprovechando las vacaciones. Antes de que el verano empezara cree mi intagram (sigan @leslieannrod) y nunce mire hacia ataras – ya tengo mas de 700 fotos!! En un viaje reciente empece a hacer un collage gigante usando instapicframe (una aplicacion de Iphone) con mis fotos favoritas del verano en instagram – comenzando com fotos de Mayo cuando Dani, Gurt, Sarah, David, Winkler y Chris nos vinieron a vosotar hasta nuestro viaje a Colorado en Agosto. Aqui abajo esta el resultado – mi despedida del verano! |
