| Back in May when my mom, gma and I went to my sister-in-law Andrea’s baby shower, we stopped in Louisville on our way home to meet baby Leighton for the first time! Leighton is Gretchen’s baby, and the first baby of my high school friends. Gretchen was the preggo bridesmaid at Danielle’s wedding – luckily for all of us she hung on until the very last minute and did not arrive early during the wedding! She is the most precious, adorable baby on the planet. I mean, I knew Gretchen and Wink would have a cute kiddo, but I don’t think anyone was prepared for just how cute she really is. It’s hard to take in all at once. | En Mayo cuando mi mama, abuela y yo fuimos a la baby shower de mi cunada, pasamos por Louisville cuando veniamos de vuelta acasa para conocer a la pequena Leighton por primera vez! Leighton es la bebita de Gretchen, y la primera guagua de mi grup ode amigas del colegio. Gretchen era la dama de honor embarzada en en el matrimonio de Danielle – por suerte para nosotros, Leighton se espero para hasta el ultimo minuto para salir y no nacio durante la boda! Ella es preciosa, el bebe mas adorable del planeta. Osea, yo sabia que Gretchen y Wink tendrian un bebe hermoso, pero no estaba preparada para lo preciosa que es. Es dificil de disfrutarlo todo de una sola vez. |
| When I picked up Leighton for the first time she squirmed around a bit – I mean, obviously she’d been waiting her whole life to meet me but she just didn’t know what to do once she and I were finally meeting in person. 🙂 She finally fell asleep in my arms (!!!!!!) in this really funny position and, not wanting to disturb her, I kept her there almost the entire time we were at Gretchen’s house. I wanted to cry she was so sweet and cuddly – so perfect! | Cuando tome a Leighton por primera vez hizo unos cuantos ruidos – osea, ella habia esperado toda su vida para conocerme pero no sabia que hacer una vez que por fin nos conocimos en persona. 🙂 Al final se durmio en mis brazos!!!! en una posicion muy divertida, y no la queria molestar asi que la mantuve ahi durante la mayoria del tiempo que estuvimos en casa de Gretchen. Queria llorar, ella es tan tierna y amorosa – perfecta! |
| Gretchen is SUCH a perfect mama – she’s such a natural. I don’t know how she does it…it’s like she’s always had kids. I love watching all of her videos of Leighton now that instagram added video – she actually caught one of her ripping a huge one and laughing about it the other day. That’s my girl right there! I can’t wait to see this baby again – and I’m sure she feels the same. 🙂 She loves her Aunt Leslie! Speaking of Aunt Leslie…Andrea and Ian’s baby Gia is due in TWO MONTHS!!! Right around the corner! Can’t wait to meet her! | Gretchen es una mama espectacular – es natural para ella. No se como lo hace…es como si siempre hubiese tenido bebes. Me encanta ver sus videos de Leighton ahora que Instagram tiene videos – ella grabo un video de la bebe tirandose un peo en el momento perfecto mientras se moria de la risa. Esa es una buena bebita! No puedo esperar para ver a esta bebe de nuevo – y estoy seguro que ella siente lo mismo. 🙂 Ella quiere mucho a su tia Leslie! Hablando de tia Leslie….Andrea e Ian tendran su bebe, Gia en 2 MESES!! A la vuelta de la esquina! Que emocion! |
