This weekend some fine folks in our neighborhood are putting on the Riverside Blossom Festival in the Riverside Village district of East Nashville. The festival is this Saturday (May 12) from 11am – 5pm and will feature crafts and shopping with wares from local artists, food from local restaurants (including Jeni’s ice cream!!), kids activities (games, face painting, art projects!) and MUSIC! My dad and I will be playing at the festival on the acoustic stage from 3:00-4:00, so we’d obviously love it if any friends from Nashville would come out during the time we’re playing so we can see some familiar faces! The festival is free and there’s a main stage where the full band acts are, but we’ll be doing a more intimate show on the acoustic stage so come on out and hang with us! You can bring a picnic lunch (albeit a late lunch) and sit on the lawn in front of our little stage. Below are some videos of us playing music at the Village Pub in Riverside Village: |
Este fin de semana, algunos buenos vecinos organizaron el festival Riverside Blossom en Riverside Village en el Este de Nashville. El festival es el sabado (12 de mayo) de las 11am a las 5pm y tendra artesanias lugares para comprar articulos hechos por negocios locales y artistas, comida de restaurantes de la zona (incluyendo helados Jenni’s!!), actividades para ninos (juegos, pinturas para cara, projectos de arte!) y MUSICA! Mi papa y yo tocaremos en el festival en el escenario de musica acustica de las 3 a las 4, asi que obviamente nos encantaria que nuestros amigos de Nashville nos vinieran a ver mientras tocamos y asi poder ver algunas caras familiares! El festival es gratis y hay un escenario principal donde bandas completas tocaran, pero nosotros tendremos un show mas intimo asi que vengan a compartir con nosotros! | Last year Javi and I were in San Francisco when the festival was held and we were so bummed to miss it. This year we’re thrilled to be participating AND I’ve got 6 friends coming in town from Louisville for the weekend so it’s going to be a perfect way to show off the neighborhood a little. So! See you there! | El ano pasado Javi y yo estabamos en San Francisco cuando el festival fue lanzado el ano pasado y estabamos triste por habernos perdido la ocasion. Este ano estamos muy contentos por poder participar and 6 de nuestros amigos vendran a visitarnos desde Louisville por el fin de semana asi que va a ser la manera perfecta de mostrarles lo genial que es nuestro vecindario!
