Happy Monday everyone! I’m still feeling a little worn out from the weekend (it started on Thursday night with the midnight showing of Harry Potter, which I’ll post about soon, then Friday night shooting a rehearsal dinner and Saturday night shooting a wedding, then last night I played a show with my dad and other awesome musicians at Puckett’s, so I’m feeling it this morning!) so I’m going to mostly leave the “talking” to the media in this post! First, though, I want to say thanks to Bob Goodrich who arranged the whole shebang last night out in Leiper’s Fork. Last fall, my dad and I entered our music into a silent auction at church to benefit the youth group: the deal was, the winner of our prize package got one evening of music on us. Bob has been coming out to my shows since I first started singing in Nashville my freshman year in college and he’s always been such an awesome fan! He won the bid for our music at the auction and set up a big birthday party at Puckett’s out in Leiper’s Fork, TN. Puckett’s is a grocery store / restaurant / all-around amazing little location about a 30 minute drive down Natchez Trace. It’s also a fantastic venue and they have music every Friday / Saturday night and for private parties like this one last night. The food was superb (Javi LOVES fried chicken and mac and cheese so he was thrilled with the menu – which was exactly that) and the crowd was just wonderful. My dad and I played with Michael Lehman (bass) for the first set of acoustic tunes, then we had a break for dinner and afterward got back up with Dave Perkins and Cathy Chalmers (electric guitar and drums, respectively) to play some blues, rock and roll and gospel music! It. was. AWESOME! and a perfect way to end a crazy fun weekend! The best part is that Pucketts booked us for a Saturday night show in August!!!!!!!! More details on that coming soon…in the meantime, enjoy these videos / photos of the night (thanks to media coordinator, Javier).

Great fun listening to these Leslie. Thanks for posting! That cheap Flip recorder does a nice job and has pretty good sound as well. Nice.
[…] Leiper’s Fork is a charming little stop along Natchez Trace, as I think I mentioned in my last post about Puckett’s, so I highly recommend a trip out there, especially if it’s a Saturday night because there […]
[…] last night I asked Javier to make me a flier for my next show at Puckett’s on December 23. I wanted a flier similar to the banner on this blog – a stick figure or some […]
Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this site. It’s simple, yet effective.
A lot of times it’s challenging to get that “perfect balance” between usability and visual appearance. I must say that you’ve done a very good job
with this. Additionally, the blog loads very quick
for me on Firefox. Exceptional Blog!
Usually I do not read article on blogs, however I wish to
say that this write-up very forced me to try and do
it! Your writing taste has been amazed me.
Thanks, very nice post.
