| Quite a bit has happened since the last time we posted, so here’s a VERY abbreviated summary of Aug-Dec:
JACKSON WAS BORN! – Our little nephew Jackson John was born August 8, 2015 and he’s AMAZING. He’s SUCH a good baby and absolutely the most darling little boy I’ve ever beheld. We were there the day he was born and I got to take a few photos in the hospital – it was incredible! |
Varias cosas han pasado desde la ultima vez que escribimos en el blog, asi que aqui va un SUPER resumen de Agosto – Diciembre:
JACKSON NACIO! – Nuestro sobrinito Jackson John nacio el 8 de Agosto y es INCREIBLE! El es un bebe muy tranquilo y el nino mas tierno y lindo que he tenido en mis brazos. Estuvimos con ellos el dia del nacimiento y pude sacar fotos en el hospital – fue un momento muy especial! |
| Chupi and Chori got a (furry, four-legged) brother…
We just REALLY needed another dog. Our 1100 sq. ft. house just wasn’t full enough. If that’s too much to swallow, trust that we picked up an emaciated, lovable little dude one day when we saw him eating roadkill and wouldn’t get out of the way of our car. Charming! We got him all checked out (no microchip, no claims) and fixed him up to be the little beauty you see today. Truly – this fella completes our little fam (for now) and Chupi and Chori (eventually learned to) love their new brother. Meet Kumita! |
Chupi y Chori tienen un hermano! (peludo de 4 patas)
En VERDAD necesitabamos otro perro. Nuestra casa de 1100 pies cuadrados no estaba lo suficientemente llena. Si eso no suena real, tienen que creernos que adoptamos un cachorro muy tierno que encontramos malnutrido y comiendo basura en medio de la calle. Lo llevamos al veterinario para ver si tenia microchip o si alguien habia puesto aviso de perro perdido, y como no encontramos un dueno, le dimos el cuidado que necesitaba para ser el hermoso perro que es hoy dia. En serio, este cachorro completa la familia y Chupete y Choripan (con tiempo) aprendieron a quererlo como uno mas de la jauria. Conozcan a Kumita! |
| Javier graduated and got a job! – Long story short – Javier now has his MSN, is a certified NP, and got a job in LOUISVILLE! CONGRATULATIONS! Which brings me to…
We are moving to Louisville! – Back to my hometown – I still can’t believe it. We’re only 2.5 hours away from Nashville which makes it easy for me to continue making music and touring with HH, and Javier has an AWESOME first job. We move to Louisville in February! |
Javier se graduo y encontro trabajo! – La historia es larga pero en resumen – Javier termino su magister en enfermeria y sera un Nurse Practitioner (Enfermero de Practica Avanzada) en Louisville. FELICITACIONES! Lo que nos lleva a otro punto…
Nos mudaremos a Louisville! – De vuelta en la ciudad donde creci y no lo puedo creer. Estaremos a 2.5 horas de Nashville lo que hace facil para mi poder continuar haciendo musica y viajar con Humming House, y Javier tiene un FANTASTICO primer trabajo en enfermeria. Nos mudaremos en Febrero! |
| We bought a house! We’re keeping our house in Nashville (and entering the world of the landlord) and we are in the process of buying a home in Louisville on the edge of the highlands – one of my favorite neighborhoods in the city. We spent two days looking at houses over Thanksgiving and somehow miraculously found a house that fits our needs and is move-in-ready…I can’t wait to post photos of the millions of projects Javier already has in mind. Get ready for new home updates on LRL! | Compramos una casa! Vamos a mantener nuestra casa en Nashville (la arrendaremos) y compramos una casa en Louisville en un barrio llamado The Highlands – uno de mis favoritos en la ciudad. Visitamos varias casas durante un par de dias durante accion de gracias y milagrosamente encontramos una que se ajusta a lo que necesitamos y esta lista para nos mudemos…no puedo esperar mas para postear los millones de proyectos que Javier tiene en mente! Preparense para mas post en LRL! |
