Back in September the Humming House tour schedule took us up to Chicago where I got to spend two nights with Ian, Andrea and their sweet baby Gia. I still, still can’t believe I’m an aunt! I don’t think I’ve ever held such a small baby – I felt like I was going to break her. She’s so precious and, although I really know next to nothing about what is going on inside babies’ heads, I do think she’s extra alert for only being on this planet for a few weeks. She looks so much like both Ian and Andrea and when she crinkles up her little forehead it looks like there is something really important going on inside her head – I love that face. At one point I was doing a little selfie session with her on the couch and we both raised our eyebrow – the pic came out pretty awesome. |
Every morning before meeting up with the rest of the band to do whatever it was we had to do that day I did a little photoshoot with Gia. She’s already a UofL fan (smart girl!) – raising up her Ls in front of the championship banner that Ian has in the living room. I don’t think she’s a huge fan of the camera (or the sounds it makes) but we got some fun photos. I mean…it’s not hard to get good photos of such an adorable subject… |
Ian and Andrea are already great parents and it was really fun to watch them in action. Ian has this method of getting her to go to sleep on his knee and Andrea has this schedule already down pat – tummy time, nap time, food time, bath time – it’s really amazing. I wish I had a few more days to spend with the three of them before we had to move on but I’m so glad I got to see her as such a tiny baby! Now Javier needs to see her before she gets much bigger! |
