Sunday Morning Pancake Mix

This is one of those posts where we’re going to be bold and go ahead and say “you are very welcome” for introducing you to this fabulous new tasty treat. One of our friends here in East Nashville recently started up a business called “My Friend who Loves to Cook” and her first big product she’s released is called Sunday Morning Pancake Mix. She mills the mix at home herself from 9 different organic grains and sells the bags at the East Nashville Farmer’s Market on Wednesday afternoons, the HIP Donelson Farmer’s Market on Friday afternoons and the East Tasty Farmer’s Market on Saturdays. If you live near any of those locations, run, do not walk, to pick up a bag of this mix.

Este es uno de esos post donde vamos a atrevernos a decir “de nada” de antemano por presentarles este fabuloso bocadillo. Una de nuestras amigas en el Este de Nashville recientemente comenzo un negocio llamado “My Friend who Loves to Cook” (mi amiga que ama cocinar) y su primer gran producto es llamado Mezcla de Panqueques del Domingo. Ella muele 9 granos diferentes en su molino en casa y prepara la mezcla para venderlos en la feria del Este de Nashville los miercoles en la tarde, en la feria HIP de Donelson los viernes en la tarde y en la feria East Tasty los sabados. Si viven en algun lugar cerca, corran, no caminen, a comprar unas bolsas.

For the past couple of months Javier and I have been eating chocolate chip pancakes on Saturday mornings – we’re pretty healthy all week and this is a little treat we give to ourselves on the weekends. We had been eating the mix from Trader Joes but we recently bartered a mini photo-shoot with Samantha for some of the pancake mix and we will never go back. We made the pancakes the day after we did the photoshoot and now I have all the more reason to look forward to Saturday mornings…it’s the highlight of the weekend! We eat the mix with Ghiradelli chocolate chips (we go all out…) and…well. It’s so delicious I’m having a hard time writing about it instead of making some to eat right now instead. Por ya unos meses Javier y yo hemos estado preprando panqueques con chips de cholcolate los Sabados por la manana – comemos saludable durante la semana y con los panqueques nos damos un descanso de fin de semana. Hemos comido la mezcla de Trader Joes pero hace poco saque fotos del producto de Samantha y como pago recibimos una bolsa de su producto. Y ahora no podemos comer nada diferente. Hicimos pos panqueques al otro dia de sacar las fotos y ahora tenemos una razon mas para esperar el sabado en la manana…es lo mejor del fin de semana! Comemos la mezcla con chips de chocolate Ghirardelli (muy rico) y ..bueno…no duran mucho. Es tan rico que tengo problemas en escribir esto porque me da hambre.
