| Last weekend Javier and I took a quick day trip to Bryantsville, Kentucky where two of our dear friends David and Sarah tied the knot. The wedding was held at a lovely farm outside of Lexington, KY, outdoors under a weeping willow next to a pretty little pond on the property. We were surrounded by horses all over the farm – it was so picturesque! We had a VERY close call with the weather; this enormous black cloud covered the entire horizon and slowly crept toward us as the wedding time approached, but 10 minutes before the ceremony started the cloud blew right over leaving blue skies and white clouds. It was incredible!! And made for some very dramatic photos… | El fin de semana pasado, Javier y yo hicimos un viaje rapido por el dia a Bryantsville, Kentucky donde dos de nuestros queridos amigos David y Sarah se casaron. La boda fue en una linda granja en las afueras de Lexington, Kentucky, al aire libre bajo un sauce lloron y al frente de una laguna. Estabamos rodeados por caballos de la granja – todo muy pintoresco! Tuvimos un susto MUY grande con el tiempo; esta nube negra enorme tapaba el horizonte y lentamente se acercaba a nosotros, pero 10 minutos despues de que la ceremonia empezara, la nube de fue para dar paso a cielo azul. Fue increible!! Y una buena oportunidad para fotos muy dramaticas… |
| I sang in the ceremony with an old friend Kyle, who also went to high school with me and met David in college. After the ceremony we all made it to the tent just in time for the heavens to open up and release all the pent up rain that it held back during the ceremony, and after 10 minutes the sun was back out again. We all sat together during dinner passing Gretchen and Brandon’s sweet baby Leighton around – she seemed to be pretty happy in Javier’s arms…I mean come on…look at that photo below! She was totally conked out. | Cante durante la ceremonia con mi viejo amigo Kyle, quien tambien fue al colegio conmigo y conocio a David en la universidad. Despues de la ceremonia nos fuimos a la carpa justo a tiempo para que la lluvia comenzara y se hiciera presente luego de aguantarse durante la ceremonia, y 10 minutos despues el sol salio de nuevo. Nos sentamos todos juntos durante la cena mientras nos pasabamos de brazo en brazo al bebe de Gretchen y Brandon, Leighton – ella se veia tan feliz en los brazos de Javier….osea, vamos….vean la foto abajo! Ella estaba muy a gusto. |

| Javier and I were able to stay long enough to hear Brandon’s best man toast and see the first dance. I hate that we had to duck out early to get back home – it was about 3.5 hours away and we had to get home that night. I’m so glad we were able to be there, though – we love Sarah and are so happy for her and David! Congratulations you two! | Javier y yo nos pudimos quedar por suficiente tiempo para escuchar el brindis de Brandon que era el padrino de boda y ver el primer baile, despues de eso tuvimos que irnos a casa – estabamos a 3.5 horas de Nashville y teniamos que volver si o si. Estoy tan feliz de que nos hayamos podido quedar por un buen rato – queremos mucho a Sarah y estamos muy felices por ella y David! Felicitaciones a ambos! |
