| So it’s back to Nashville – for a few days! I left California yesterday morning and was home by the early evening. Flying is crazy…you know, the whole crossing the country in a matter of hours thing. I still get freaked out about flying because of that one time our plane was hit by lightning…and now I think too much about how unnatural it is that this many-tons, millions-of-parts machine is up in the air like it weighs nothing…and I’m just sitting in it. Maybe even surfing the internet. Crazy. | De vuelta en Nashville – por unos dias! Volvi de California ayer durante la manana y llegue a casa temprano por la tarde. Volar en avion en de locos…saben?, esa cosa de cruzar el pais en un par de horas. Todavia me da susto volar, desde esa vez que nuestro avion fue golpeado por un rayo…y ahora pienso demasiado en lo poco natural que es que esta maquina con millones de piezas y que pesa toneladas, vuela por los aires como si no pesara nada…y yo estoy ahi sentada. Tal vez incluso conectada a la internet. De locos. |
| Anyway, for my last few days in Cali I was able to keep up my busy schedule of relaxing by the pool and relaxing by the beach – it was tough but I made it through. I made the unfortunate decision to use spray-on sunscreen and wound up with a fantastically bright red line down my leg (starting at my knee), so that’s really nice. My last few California must-have meals included In-N-Out (obviously) and El Burrito Jr. – vacation takes priority over P90x / Insanity diets (not like we’ve been doing well with keeping up with that anyway, but more on that later). | Pero bueno, en mis ultimos dias en California pude mantener mi agenda llena de actividades como relajarme en la piscina o en la playa – fue dificil pero lo logre. Tome la mala decision de usar bloqueador solar en spray y termine con una lines roja en mi pierna (empieza en la rodilla), asi que eso fue rico. Mis ultimas comidas Californianas que tenia que comer incluyeron In-n_Out (obviamente) y El Burrito Jr – las vacaciones tienen prioridad sobre las dietas de P90X e Insanity (no que estemos siguiendolas muy al pie de la letra, pero les contare mas sobre eso despues). |
| I spent the last two sunsets of my trip doing family photoshoots which was so fun. First I took some photos of a brother and sister (Kevin and Kaitlyn ) down by the pier, then up on top of the pier I photographed the Mudgett family right as the sun was going down behind the Long Beach skyline. Beautiful! The next night I photographed the Stahl family – Bill, Lisa, Kris and Kali. What a fun group! We were running up and down the beach and then up on the pier getting some of the most gorgeous photos ever – I can’t wait to get all three shoots up on the photo blog. Actually, I still have to put my cousin’s senior photos up on the blog too – I’m so far behind! I had a blast hanging out with these three families for a few hours and it’ll be sweet to get some Cali flavor on the blog! And speaking of Cali flavor, the Stahl family has a clothing line called Fatal (I don’t know if they own it or part own it or what but the connection is there somewhere) and it’s pretty awesome! Definitely check it out! | Pase las ultimas dos puestas de sol haciendo sesiones de fotos con familias lo que fue muy divertido. Primero saque fotos de unos hermanos (Kevin y Kaitlyn) bajo el muelle, despues en el muelle saque fotos de la familia Mudgett justo cuando el sol se escondia en el horizonte de Long Beach. Hermoso! A la tarde siguiente saque fotos de la familia Stahl – Bill, Lisa, Kris y Kali! Un grupo muy entretenido! Paseamos por la playa y despues en el muelle sacamos unas de la fotos mas lindas que he sacado – no puedo esperar para poner las fotos en mi blog de fotografia – estoy un poco atrasada! Lo pase muy bien con estas familias durante algunas horas y sera genial agregar un poco de sabor Californiano al blog, la familia Stahl tiene una linea de ropa llamada Fatal (no se si son duenos o co-duenos o cual es la conexion ahi) y es fantastica! Hechenle un vistazo! |
