| We’re going to Colorado!! So first, thank you to EVERYONE who commented, texted and e-mailed us ideas about vacation destinations – we have about 50 ideas for future vacations and every single one of them sounds awesome. I know we originally said that the west side of the country was out of the question, but it turns out that I have to go to Denver anyway for a conference at the end of the summer so we decided to make a week-long trip out of it. We loved our brief trip to Colorado last fall for my cousin’s wedding and we want to go back to spend a little more time exploring what CO has to offer. It’s so beautiful there, I’m sure I can get plenty of relaxation time in and there will be plenty of things to do when we feel like an adventure. | Vamos a ir a Colorado!! Primero, muchas gracias a TODOS quienes nos dieron recomendaciones, enviaron mensajes de texto y correos eletronicos con ideas de lugares para ir de vacaciones – tenemos como 50 ideas para futuras vacaciones y cada una de ellas suena fantastica. Yo se que originalmente dijimos que ir a la costa oeste estaba fuera de nuestro rango, pero pasa que tengo que ir a Denver de todas maneras a una conferencia al final del verano asi que decidimos estirar ese fin de semana a una semana de vacaciones. Lo pasamos muy bien en nuestro corto paseo en Denver cuando fuimos al matrimonio de mi prima y queremos volver para pasar mas timepo descubriendo lo que Colorado tiene para ofrecer. Es muy bonito, estoy segura que puedo encontrar tiempo para relajarme y que tendremos muchas cosas para hacer y sentir que estamos en una aventura. |

| Our plan is to spend the first couple of days at a B&B in Boulder – I’ve always wanted to spend a little time there (and when I think about it I get Emmy Lou’s song Boulder to Birmingham stuck in my head) and Javi was more interested in staying in a town / city than a ski resort. So Boulder seemed like a good option and it’s not too far from Denver. Then we’re going to head back to Denver on Weds (the conference starts Friday) so we’ll have Weds evening and all day Thursday to just hang out in downtown Denver or maybe take a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. I AM SO EXCITED. SO excited. Ah! | Nuestro plan es pasar los primeros dias en un Bed & Breakfast en Boulder – siempre quize pasar un tiempo alli (y cuando pienso en eso la cancion de Emmmy Lou Boulder to Birmingham se me viene a la cabeza) y javi estaba mas interesado en quedarse en un publo o ciudad que en un resort. Asi que Boulder parece una buena opcion y no es muy lejos de Denver. Luego iremos a Denver (la condeferencia es el fin de semana)por unos dias antes de la conferencia para pasear por los alrededores y tal vez un viaje por el dia a Rocky Mountain National Park. Estoy muy EMOCIONADA!! MUY!!!! AHH!!! |

| We also had a few suggestions about other places to go that we think we can make weekend trips out of – like taking a trip to Chattanooga. Javi and I LOVE zoos / aquariums and Chattanooga has an amazing aquarium that we’d love to visit. Chattanooga is also only about 20 minutes away from Soddy Daisy TN, so we’re going to go see the aquarium and visit my aunt Melissa and her husband Andre in Soddy Daisy! They live on Sale Creek marina and we’ve been wanting to visit for awhile, so that’s going to be fun. | Tambien tenemos sugerencias sobre otros lugares que pensamos hacer viajes por el fin de semana – como ir a Chattanooga. Nos encantan los zoologicos / aquarios y Chattanooga tiene un aquario fantastico que nos encantaria visitar. Chattanooga tambien queda a solo 20 minutos de Soddy Daisy, TN, asi que vamos a ir a visitar a mi tia Melissa y su esposo Andre en Soddy Daisy! Ellos viven en Sale Creek marina y hace tiempo que hemos estado pensando en visitarlos, asi que eso sera divertido. |
