| Sometimes, all I need is just one good day. Yesterday, Javi and I had a productive morning (woke up at 5AM!) and it was a beautiful day with pretty decent weather. I got to spend the morning reading in my office with the pups keeping me company on the couch. They were basically begging me to take some pics of them, looking all adorable like that… | A veces, todo lo que necito es un dia simple y tranquilo para ponerme muy feliz. Ayer, Javi y yo tuvimos un dia muy productivo (nos despertamos a las 5 am!) y fue un dia bonito con un tiempo relativamente templado. Pase la manana leyendo en la oficina con los cachorros haciendome compania en el sillon. Me rogaban por sacarles fotos, viendose tan tiernos… |
| After class and a proseminar, Javi and I went out to dinner with my good friend Jeffrey Harper and his friend Laura. When Jeffrey isn’t on tour playing keys for Scotty McCreery he’s probably off playing music with someone else, so we haven’t seen him since our wedding! He and I go way back – we knew each other in middle and high school through a complicated connection (he is friends with my dad’s friend’s son, and we met when we went to visit my dad’s friend in Birmingham) and we both went to college at Belmont and played music together for a couple years. He is without a doubt one of the most talented musicians in Nashville and can play basically any instrument he can get his hands on and sing to boot. His friend Laura is a Santiago de Compostela study abroad veteran like me, so it was great to meet someone who wanted to reminisce with me about the good times in the best city in Spain. She just went there last semester so it’s still fresh for her! It was great to see Jeffrey after so long and afterward we showed them our house and introduced them to the pups. | Despues de clase y un seminario, Javi y yo nos juntamos para cenar con mi muy buen amigo Jeffrey Harper y su amiga Laura. Cuando Jeffrey no esta tocando el organo para Scotty McCreery, esta probablemente tocando musico con alguin mas, asi que no lo hemos podido ver desde nuestro matrimonio! El y yo nos conocemos hace mucho tiempo – nos conocimos en la escuela a travez de una conexion algo complicada (el es amigo del hijo del amigo de mi papa, y nos conocimos cuando todos fuimos a visitar al amigo de mi papa en Birmingham) y los dos fuimos a la universidad en Belmont y tocamos musica juntos por un par de anos. El es sin duda uno de los musicos mas talentosos en Nashville y puede tocar cualquier instrumento que cae en sus manos y tambien puede cantar muy bien. Su amiga Laura estudio en Santiago de Compostela, como yo, asi que fue genial conocer a alguien para conversar sobre esa increible ciudad y sobre nuestras memorias de la mejor cuidad de Espana. Ella estuvo alla el semestre pasado, asi que sus memorias son muy frescas! Fue genial poder ver a Jeffrey despues de tanto tiempo, y despues de la cena vino a la casa para conocerla y conocer a los cachorros. |

| Javi and I also spent a little time researching P90X…Javi just doesn’t have time to go to the gym anymore and it’s more likely that he’ll stick to the program if we do it together so…we went ahead and ordered it. We’ll start it next week and finish by May – just in time for summer! I do not plan on posting any before pics…but if we’re thrilled with the result we’ll let you know. For now…I’m just happy I got one last trip to Silly Goose and Jeni’s in before the madness begins! | Javi y yo tambien usamos un poco de tiempo para investigar P90X…Javi no tiene tiempo para ir al gimnacio y es mas probable que termine el programa si lo hacemos juntos…asi que decidimos hacerlo y lo compramos por internet. Empezaremos la proxima semana y terminaremos a fines de Mayo – justo para el verano! No tengo planeado porner fotos del antes…pero si quedamos contentos con los resultados les contaremos. Por ahora…estoy feliz de que pudimos ir a Silly Goose y Jeni’s antes que la locura comienze! |
