| We spent yet another great day with the Rodriguez family – we only have a few more left! We are all currently listening to Amalia Rodrigues (Fado…beautiful folk music from Portugal) and recovering from our evening at the Village Pub. I had another really fun show tonight at the VP and their front porch was full, even in 22 degree weather! In the winter the VP covers their porch and has heaters so it wasn’t bad at all. We had a crowd from Sociology, a crowd from family and good loyal friends from church and other places who came out to hear the music. It was such a great time! A few friends got up to dance this time, always a welcome addition to the program, and everyone sang along and clapped and drank beer and enjoyed the VP hospitality. I love playing music there. | Pasamos otro dia genial con la familia Rodriguez – falta muy poco hasta que tengan que volver a Chile asi que tenemos que aprovechar. Ahorita, estamos escuchando a Amalia Rodrigues (Fado, un tipo de musica muy linda de Portugal) y recuperandonos de una noche en el Village Pub. Tuve otro show muy divertido esta noche en el VP, y el patio estaba lleno, aunque estaba frio. En el invierno el VP cubre su patio y tiene calefaccion afuera, asi que no hacia mucho frio en el patio. Habia mucha gente de Sociologia, nuestra familia, y otros amigos de la iglesia y otros lugares quien vinieron. Fue muy divertido!! Unos amigos bailaron esta vez, lo cual siempre es bienvenido, y todos cantaron con nosotros y bebieron cerveza y disfrutaron de la hospitalidad del VP. Me encanta tocar musica ahi. |
| Paula also took her cuellos and sold a few there – she’s still making them so just a reminder to put in an order if you’re still interested! I made two today, one for Chupete and one for Chori. Don’t they look so handsome? Or warm and comfy, at least. They actually love these things…usually Chupete protests when we put clothes on him (Chori never cares) but they are both currently curled up on the couch sleeping with their cuellos still on. Success! If you want one for a pup, we’re selling them for the same price as the kid size: $15. | Paula también llevó sus cuellos y vendió unos en el show – todavia está haciendolos asi que otra vez un recuerdo para hacer tu orden si estas interesado! Yo hice dos hoy dia…uno para el Chupi y otro para el Chori. No crees que se ven muy tiernos? O por lo menos se ven calentitos y comodos. De hecho a ellos les encantan los cuellos…normalmente Chupete no quiere ponerse ropa (al Chori nunca le molesta) pero ahora mismo estan los dos en la sofa con sus cuellos puestos. Exito! Si quieres uno para un perrito, estamos vendiendo por el mismo precio de los cuellos de niños ($15). |
| On Wednesday we are going to Room in the Inn to take a tour and then spending the day downtown. We haven’t had a chance to go downtown yet and everyone wants to eat barbecue at Jacks and buy little Nashville souvenirs. I hate to think our time is wrapping up with the family! And it’s doubly unfortunate because we have to go back to school / work as soon as they leave…ok ok, I’m going to quit thinking about it. More soon! | El miercoles vamos a ir al Room in the Inn para un tour y despues vamos a pasar el resto del dia en downtown. Todavia no hemos ido a downtown y todos quieren comer barbacoa en Jacks y comprar cositas de Nashville. Odio pensar que no queda mucho tiempo con la familia! Y es todavia peor porque tenemos que volver a trabajar y a las clases justo cuando se van. Ok ya basta…no voy a pensar en eso ahora! Mas noticias prontito! |
