| We went to the fair last night with our friends Liz and Corey and their son B and did all the fair things we love: ate horrible food (this year it was loaded tater tots with bacon and beer cheese on one serving and pulled pork and monterey jack cheese on the other), took some photos, walked through the art and agriculture competitions, and visited the animals! We got to see the pigs and cows, and on our way out we passed through the petting zoo area where we saw llamas, piglets, mini horses, donkeys, chickens, rabbits, and goats. | Fuimos a la feria anoche con nuestros amigos Liz y Corey y su hijo B, e hicimos todas las cosas de feria que nos gusta hacer: Comer comida rica pero terrible para la salud (esta ano fueron papas fritas cubiertas con queso y tocino y otro monton cubiertas con carne de cerdo y queso jack), sacamos fotos, vimos la competencia de arte y agricultura, y visitamos los animales! Vimos vacas y chanchos, y cuando saliamos pasamos por el area donde se podia tocar animales como lamas, chanchitos, caballos mini, gallinas, burros, conejos, y cabras. |

| Every year it’s the same but every year it’s different…we’ll always make time to go to the fair. It’s such a fun fam outing and definitely worth the trip. It’ll be fun now to see it through P’s experience…her big moment this year was definitely eating our tater tots. She cried when we ran out! | Cada ano es lo mismo pero algo diferente…siempre nos hacemos el tiempo para ir a la feria. Es una salida con la familia muy entretenida que vale la pena. Sera entretenido ver la experiencia a travez de los ojos de Penny…sus grandes momentos esta vez fue sin duda comer las papas. Se puso a llorar cuando se acabaron! |
| While we’re on the subject of outings with P, I had to share these sweet photos from a busy week with friends and family. Last week Danielle was in town so we had the Andersons and Winklers over to our house. Of course, the morning they came we decided to pull up our bonus room and kitchen floors to replace them (more on that soon) so it was a total disaster zone, but so fun to see everyone! | Mientras estamos en el tema de paseos con Penny, tengo que compartir fotos de una semana muy ocupada con visitas de familia y amigos. La semana pasada Danielle visito Louisville y nos vinieron a ver junto con los Winklers. Claro que esa misma manana fue cuando decidimos empezar a cambiar los pisos de la pieza bonus y la cocina, asi que era una zona de desastre, pero muy entretenido poder ver a todos! |
| On Mon and Tues mom and gma were at our house visiting (and somehow this is the only photo I took?!). On Thurs we went to the zoo with Gretchen, Everett, and baby Ruby (not pictured bc she was asleep on her mama the whole time). The weather has been PERFECT these past few days for outings – mild temperatures and clouds to block the sun. Just awesome. | El lunes y martes, mi mama y abuela se quedaron con nosotros ( y por alguna razon solo tome una foto!?) El jueves fuimos al zoologico con Gretchen, Everatt y Ruby (que no sale en foitois porque durmio todo el paseo). El tiempo estaba perfecto para salir – temperaturas agradables y nubes para protegernos del sol. Espectacular. |
| On Friday we went to the park with Andrea and the kids and tried out a new spot – Beckley Creek Play & Sprayground. It’s a hike from our house but it was worth it – the playground is SO nice and the kids had a fun time running around the splashpad (by the way, splashpads are new to me…but I can see how fun they will be for P when she’s older!). There’s a big playground for bigger kids and a small toddler-friendly playground for the mini kiddos. We’ll definitely be back. | El viernes fuimos al parque con Andrea y los ninos y descubrimos un nuevo lugar – Beckley Creek Play & Sprayground. Es un viaje pero valio la pena – el area de juegos es muy comoda y los ninos lo pasaron muy bien jugando y corriendo (cuando Penny sea mas grande podra jugar en los juegos de agua!) Hay juegos para ninos mayores y para bebes. No hay duda que volveremos a visitar pronto. |
| What a fun week!! I’ll have to get a post up here soon about our floor remodel…I feel like we brought our house into the 21st century just with these new floors and I AM LOVING IT!
