| I’m feeling a little low after a defeating evening watching the election results roll in, so I’m going to focus on the happier things going on in the Los Rodriguez Life. This past weekend we celebrated our good friends Eric and Megan at their beautiful wedding! I’ve known Eric since my freshman year in college. We met studying abroad in London and he was the bass player in our critically acclaimed (amongst ourselves) college bluegrass band Angus Whyte and the Irish Rednecks. Eric moved away from Nashville for awhile (it was a dark time) and then reappeared in 2012 just in time to rekindle the Angus Whyte flame in the form of Hickory Slims. Around that time, Eric starting talking about this wonderful girl named Megan (who I knew because her mom and my parents are good friends and colleagues). Lucky Eric – Megan is wonderful, and smart to boot and will be a most excellent dental hygienist very soon (she was there for me when no dental insurance was available – I’ll never forget!). | Me siento un poco bajoneada despues de ver las elecciones y los resultados, asi que me voy a concentrar en cosas mas alegres que pasan en la vida de Los Rodriguez. El fin de semana celebramos el matrimonio de nuestros buenos amigos Eric y Megan! Conoci a Eric en mi primer ano de universidad. Nos conocimos durante un viaje a Londres, y el era el bajista de la nuestra super famosa (entre nuestros amigos) banda de bluegrass Angus Whyte and the Irish Rednecks. Eric se mudo de Nashville durante un tiempo (tiempos de oscuridad) y volvio el 2012, justo para reiniciar Angus Whyte pero ahora con el nombre de Hickory Slims. En ese tiempo, Eric comenzo a hablar de esta maravillosa chica llamada Megan (a quien yo conocia porque mis papas y su mama son amigos y colegas). Por suerte para Eric – Megan es fantastica, inteligente, y sera una profesional de la odontolgia excelente y muy pronto (ella me ayudo cuando yo no tenia seguro dental – no lo olvidare!) |

Earlier this summer Megan threw Eric a surprise birthday party – this was the moment of the surprise. ^^
| Anyway, so last weekend was their beautiful East Nashville wedding. It was a crisp, chilly November evening, and the music and cooler temps kept the dance floor full of moving bodies all night. I had a superb time dancing with my old college dance party friends – it felt like we were back at the house on Compton boogying down in Eric and Justin’s living room. Javi kept busy standing on the side of the dance floor, amused and shaking his head to spurn our seemingly irresistible offers to dance like a fool. Ben made a nice meme to commemorate that occasion. | Pero bueno, el fin de semana pasado fue su hermosa boda en el Este de Nashville. La fria noche de noviembre y la musica mantuvo a todos bailando toda la noche. Lo pase genial bailando con mis viejos amigos de la universidad – fue como volver en el tiempo a una de esas fiestas en el living de la casa de nuestros amigos Eric y Justin. Javi se mantuvo entretenido en lejos de la pista de baile, moviendo su cabeza cada vez que lo invitabamos a unirse a nuestro baile. Ben creo un meme para conmemorar la ocasion. |

| There, now I feel a little better. All it takes is remembering a fun evening with friends to get this day back on track. Thanks to Eric and Megan for throwing such a wonderful party to celebrate love – and congratulations on forever!! | ahi esta, ahora me siento mejor.
