| Back in May, we invited 60 of our closest friends to a party we threw at EastSide Manor Studio in East Nashville. Our good friend and talented producer Stephen Turney recorded our performance and placed microphones in the audience to capture their interactions with us. We spent some time draining the keg, playing beer pong, and hanging out before playing a raucous set later in the evening. We pass many hours on tour listening to albums from different eras as we drive around the country, and earlier in the spring we spent quite a bit of time with “Beach Boys’ Party” from 1965. We started formulating the idea of recreating that party-vibe for our own live album; we approach each of our live shows with a “let’s throw a party” mentality, so it seemed appropriate to do the same for a live album. Happily, we have great friends who were willing to help provide that party vibe, and we had a night for the books recording “Humming House Party!” The album has a few old songs, a few covers and a few songs off our upcoming full-length studio album, which we hope to release early 2015. | En Mayo, invitamos a 60 de nuestros amigos mas cercanos a una fiesta en el estudio EastSide Manor en el este de Nashville. Nuestro talentoso y bueno amigo Stephen Turney grabo el show y puso microfonos en la audiencia para capturar algunos de los sonidos de la fiesta. Pasamos un bueno rato tomando cerveza, jugando beer pong, y conversando antes de tocar musica. | It feels good to have a Humming House product that has the whole, current lineup on it. After almost a year and a half in the band, I can sell both our debut album (which is what made me fall in love with HH before I was even in the band) and a new, really fun live album that I’m proud to be a part of.
