| Easter Sunday was much later this year than last! I remember last year’s Easter being pretty chilly and rainy, and also the same day as the Hickory Slims show at The Village Pub. This year it was warm and sunny – the church yard was full of colorful Easter dresses and hats bobbing around while the kids scampered around picking up Easter eggs. | Pascua este ano fue mas tarde que el ano pasado! Me acuerdo el ano pasado que la Pascua fue un poco fria y llovio, y tambien ese mismo dia Hickory Slims tuvo un show en el Village Pub en la tarde. Este ano estubo caluroso y soleado – el jardin de la iglesia estaba lleno de coloridos vestidos de pascua y sombreros de sol mientras los ninos corrian como locos buscando los huevitos de pascua. |
| Javi and I had a slow morning, Javi was studying for finals, and we got to church right before the service started (but with enough time to get a cup of coffee and a biscuit with ham from the morning breakfast!). After a beautiful service I went home with my parents to help get dinner ready while Javi returned to our house to continue studying before dinner. What a drag finals are on forced family fun! | Javi y yo nos tomamos la manana con calma, Javi estudio para sus examenes finales antes de partir rumbo a la iglesia y llegamos justos para el comienzo de la ceremonia (pero con suficiente tiempo para tomar una taza de cafe y comer un biscocho son jamon en el desayuno de la iglesia). Despues de la linda ceremonia, yo fui a casa con mis papas para ayudarlos con la cena mientras Javi volvio a casa para continuar estudiando antes de la cena. Que lata que los examenes justo estuvieran en medio de la entrencion familiar forzada! |
| Dale and Barbara came over for dinner with Lucas, Jonas and Mia and we had a nice afternoon out on the patio before eating a huge ham, grits, biscuits, cranberry apple bake, veggie salad and carrot cake dinner. YUM. Mia sat with me at the table with her little toy puppies and had a blast showing me how to make chocolate ice cream out of vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. So tasty! She also threw some m&ms in there and had a bona fide blizzard – I definitely sat next to the right person! 🙂 | Dale y Barbara vinieron a casa para la cena junto to Lucas, Jonas, y Mia y tuvimos una linda tarde sentados en la piscina antes de comernos un jamon, con grits, biscochos, tarde de cranberry y manzana, ensaladas y torta de zanahoria. DELICIOSO. Mia se sento al lado mio en la mesa con sus juguetitos y lo pasamos muy bien mientras me mostraba como hacer helado de chocolate mezclando helado de vainilla y salsa de chocolate. Muy rico! Tambien le puso unos M&Ms y se hizo un rico postre – me sente al lado de la persona correcta! 🙂 |
