Nikita is getting married!

I cannot believe this wedding is finally (almost) here! Nikita and I were roommates sophomore through senior year of college. She and Jordan started dating a few months before Javi and I did, and she knew from the start that she wanted to marry him! They got engaged last summer and now the wedding is right around the corner – just one weekend left. It’s going to be incredible. About a month ago I went to Chicago with a bunch of girlfriends from college for Nikita’s and another friend Mallory’s bachelorette party – nothing like a good weekend full of dancing and time with the ladies. Mallory was also my roommate in college sophomore and junior years. We’re all scattered around the country now – from GA to TX to WI – so it was great to get everyone together.

No puedo creer que esta boda esta por llegar! Nikita y yo fuimos compañeras de casa desde el segundo ano de universidad. Ella y Jordan comenzaron a salir unos meses antes que Javi y yo, y ella sabia desde un principio que se casaría con el! Se comprometieron el verano pasado y ahora la boda esta a la vuelta de la esquina – solo unas semanas mas. Va a ser increíble. Mas o menos un mes atrás fui a Chicago con un montón de amigas de la universidad para la despedida de soltera de Nikita y Mallory – nada como un fin de semana lleno de baile y tiempo con las ladies. Mallory también fue nuestra compañera de casa en la universidad el segundo y tercer ano. Estamos todas repartidas por el país ahora – desde Georgia a Texas a Wisconsin – así que fue genial poder juntarnos.

Then a couple of weekends ago Nikita had her bridal shower here in Nashville. The home where it was held was incredibly beautiful – I couldn’t resist taking a few photos. It was a fun chance to celebrate Nikita and to catch up with some other girlfriends from college – many many thanks to our host Sylvia for throwing it and having us all over! Now it’s time for some wedding festivities!
