Wooooooo we have a picnic table! Since we moved in 2 years ago I’ve been toting a folding card table between the front porch (where it belongs) and the backyard (where I occasionally like to work) and now I can be as lazy as I damn well please because we bought a wood picnic table! And let me tell you, it was an adventure getting that baby home. It’s 6ft long and the widest part was about 3.5ft…and we have a Yaris. A Yaris!! That’s basically a baby Camry! We bought it unassembled at Home Depot and a couple of big guys helped us haul it out to the loading deck. They stopped the little cart that they were rolling along with the table on top and scanned the area looking for a truck, all the while scratching their heads wondering why on earth we didn’t get the already assembled one if we were going to haul it away anyway. Then one of the guys settled his baby blues on our chariot of champions and gave us a look that suggested he had given up on humanity. Were these idiots really so dumb as to think they could fit a table that size in a step up from a Smart Car? The other guy was completely amused, folded his arms across his chest and nodded at us like he was telling us to prove it. We took the packaging apart, placed each piece in the back and scooted our chairs up all the way in the front – so obviously I had to drive home. I so wish I had remembered to take a photo of Javi squished up like an accordion in our front seat, but he was so desperate to get out when we got home I couldn’t make him wait in that little space another second. |

Good work Javi! I love how big it is! Amazing.
Thanks! It’s a nice table. Next step for me is to build one!
My humans wish they lived next to you. You seem like so much fun . . . and then I could play with the doggos, which would really be fun!
We would love to have you and your humans next door too. Imagine, play dates, gardening, grilling,……
Ooh! I am jealous of your picnic table! we have lived in our house a little over 2 years and still don’t have one. Thank you for liking my gardening post. I look forward to reading more about your adventures. Your pictures are beautiful!
It’s a good investment!! You should get one! Thanks so much for checking us out! 🙂
I am imagining a cute table cloth next, along with a cute lantern and candles just in time for Spring and Summer. It’s these little/big simple things in life that bring such happiness. And, yes I agree the picture of your hubs scrunched up would have been priceless- ha. Cheers Javier, Leslie and Doggies!
