| Anyway, it’s a holiday and despite a couple meetings and a few papers I desperately need to finish, I’m super excited to have the week “off.” Javier and I are spending Thanksgiving at my aunt Marian and uncle Stephen’s house. Ian and Andrea are coming too, so it’s going to be a really fun few days! | Pero bueno, es una semana de vacaciones y a pesar de un par de reuniones y unos cuantos papeles que necesito terminar desesperadamente, estoy muy emocionada de tener la semana libre. | In other news, my new / old bluegrass group Hickory Slims now has 5 videos up on youtube! We’ve been taking rough videos of one song during each practice to post on youtube documenting the development of the group over time – we’re calling them the Porch Practice Sessions. You can subscribe to the youtube channel to get automatic updates whenever we post a new one (highly recommend!) or “like” us on facebook (in the sidebar to the right). Below are the 5 videos we have up so far. The most recent one, “Tracy City,” is quickly becoming my new favorite song even though we’ve been playing it for years. Let me know what you think! | En otras noticias, mi nuva / antigua banda, los Hickory Slims ahora tienen 5 videos en youtube! Hemos grabado videos sin editar de por lo menos una cancion durante nuestros ensayos para subirlos a youtube y documentar el desarrollo del grupo – lo llamamos las Sesiones de Practica en el Porch. Se pueden suscribir al canal nuestro de youtube para recibir notificaciones cuando ponemos algo nuevo (se los recomiendo!) o pueden apretar “me gusta” en facebook (en la barra de la derecha aqui en blog).
