| So…I know earlier this week I said I’m not a shoe guy, and I stand by that statement. BUT – for the longest time we have talked about getting some TOMS shoes and finally we decided that we should just go get a pair instead of talking about it…so we did!It is amazing to see how popular these shoes have become since they first showed up on the American market. The founder of TOMS got the idea of this basic shoe in a trip to Argentina where shoes of this type (alpargatas) are extremely popular because they are cheap and fairly durable. | Se que habia dicho al principio de la semana que no me important mucho los zapatos, y eso no ha cambiado. PERO – hace mucho tiempo que venimos hablando de comprar un par de zapatos TOMS, y por fin decidimos que era cosa de ir a comprar en vez de solo hablar…asi que fuimos! Es increible la popularidad que han ganado desde que fueron introducidos al Mercado Americano. El fundador de TOMS salio con la idea de estos zapatos en un viaje a Argentina donde este tipo de zapatos, las famosas alpargatas, son muy populares porque son muy baratas y durables. |
| The shoes are really comfortable and look pretty nice, and Leslie needed a pair of close-toed shoes that aren’t boots for the spring / summer. Last year we saw them at a store and we really liked them, but it wasn’t until today that we decided to get a pair. | Los zapatos son comodos y se ven bien, y Leslie necesitaba un par de zapatos cerrados en la punta, que no sean botas, para primavera / verano. El ano pasado los vimos en una tienda y nos gustaron mucho, pero no fue hasta hoy que nos decidimos en comprar un par. |
| Leslie has been working really hard lately on finishing up her semester and she needed a break to let her unplug for an hour so she can stay focused on what she needs to do long term. We don’t always look to retail to unwind, but Leslie was going insane staring at her computer (haha) and we had to get out of the house. We took a quick trip to the mall and went straight to find TOMS. We tried a few pairs and after a couple of walks around the store we found the ones we like! Now I am DEFINITELY set or life when it comes to shoes. Really – no more for me. For Leslie…well…she might still go insane, but at least she can rock her TOMS at the madhouse! | Leslie ha estado trabajando muy duro ultimamente para terminar el semester y necesitaba un descanso para desenchufarse por una hora asi se puede mantener enfocada en lo que necesita hacer al largo plazo. Nosotros no siempre pensamos en ir de compras para despejarnos, pero Leslie se estaba volviendo loca (jaja) y teniamos que salir de la casa. Hicimos un viaje rapido al mall y nos fuimos directo a encontrar TOMS. Nos probamos un par de pares y despues de caminar un par de veces alrededor de la tienda encontramos los que nos gustaron! Ahora definitivamente estoy LISTO de por vida cuando hablamos de zapatos. En serio – no mas para mi. Para Leslie…bueno…todavia puede que se vuelva loca, pero por lo menos puede usar sus TOMS en el manicomio. |

I believe it, they have completely ruined all other shoes for me. I’m a comfort snob.
