My Mother-In-Law is watching my steps

Every time I hear that someone has hundreds or pairs of shoes, I can’t understand it. I am the complete opposite. I tend to use tennis shoes for everything and since I got an awesome pair of Clarks indoor/outdoor slippers, those two paires are all I use to go to class, work, church, grocery shopping, anything! It’s great!

I wear shoes until they are completely destroyed…I must admit that sometimes I overextend the life of the shoes WAAAAY too much – just ask Leslie. She usually lets me know when my shoes are better off in the garbage than on my feet. Lucky me, my mother-in-law is awesome and she took me to get new shoes during my lunch break yesterday. She’s one of those crazy good shoppers who knows how to save – she’s got the coupons, knows the discounts, goes to stores where she gets the frequent client treatment, saves punch cards, figures out the sales…she always gets good deals!
She gave me the Clarks slippers for Christmas (I mean…Santa gave them to me!). Turns out, I liked them much more than she anticipated; she envisioned me wearing them around the house, which I did, but I also wore them everywhere else that I went too. So she took me to the same store to get real shoes. To me, shoes have to be very comfortable. I would NEVER compromise comfort for style. So I was looking for a lightweight pair with a flexible sole that was easy to put on. Annie knew that Clarks would have the kind of shoes I was looking for (did I mention she is awesome and basically a pro shopper?) I found two good pairs – different styles but both really comfortable. It was hard to decide on a pair, so Annie came to the rescue and bought me both! One pair is an early birthday present (…did I mention she is awesome?).

  1. It was a fun and easy shopping trip. Javi chose very classic styles and I agree….the main thing is comfort! I’m glad to watch your steps. 🙂
