| This was my first year participating in the annual Muttonchops Monday celebration. My friend Steve educated me about this intriguing event a couple of years ago and I decided I’d try it out for Muttonchops Monday 2012. The celebration takes place every year on the first Monday of Spring. This year I could not join the other participants at the Yazoo brewery to take pictures and share our “chops” experience, but I am hoping to make it next time. Steve has created a Facebook group to invite more people to proudly style their facial hair and revive this classic style (for just 1 day every year – for which Leslie is very thankful, in my case). Contrary to popular belief, this event is not only for facial hair-endowed individuals. Anyone can participate, including women, children, and dogs! Join the facebook group for more information about this event and check out all the pictures (of babies, children, dogs, women, and men!) from previous years! Mi amigo Steve me educo sobre este intrigante evento el ano pasado y decidi que seria interesante participar en la version 2012. La celebracion se lleva a cabo cada ano en el primer Lunes de primavera. Este ano no pude juntarme con otros participantes en la cervezeria Yazoo para sacar fotos y compartir nuestros “chops”, pero espero poder hacerlo la proxima vez. Steve ha creado un grupo en Facebook para inviter mas gente a lucir orgullosamente este estilo de bello facil y reviver este look clasico (solo por 1 dia – por lo cual Leslie esta muy agradecida, en mi caso). Contrario a la creencia popular, este evento no es solo para individuos con barbas frondosas. Todos pueden participar, incluyendo mujeresm ninos, y perros! Today, I went to the beach front with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the
shell to her ear and screamed. There was
a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!
