PAULA IS HERE!!!!! And the rest of Javier’s family arrives tomorrow!! Paula is Javier’s older sister and she arrived a few days before the rest of the family and is going to stay a little longer. We love having her here, and she’s been a big help working on a few last minute projects (which we’ll post soon!) to get the house ready for Javier’s family. The house is looking GREAT!

Paula esta aqui!!! Y el resto de la familia de Javier llega manan!! Paula es la hermana mayor de Javier y llego unos dias antes que el resto de la familia y se va a quedar unos dias extra. Nos encanta tenerla aqui, y ha sido una gran ayuda trabajando en algunos projectos de ultimo minuto (los que postearemos pronto!) para preparar la casa para la llegada de la familia. La casa esta quedando genial!

So on to the West End Rhythm Kings! Last night my dad had his debut on bass with this band at the Bellevue Pub. My dad has been dying for a chance to play a gig with his new beautiful bass – he only ever gets to play keys and guitar with me! The West End Rhythm Kings play rock, rockabilly and blues and they can really tear it up – they had couples dancing on the dance floor and everyone loved the music. The bar was also a fabulous venue – nice and spacious with a dance floor, pool tables and darts, and the food was great! The pub is under new management and they just reopened so the menu only has a few items, but we tried the patty melt, cheese sticks and chicken tenders and it was all delicious. The band is going to have a monthly gig at the Bellevue Pub, so come on out next time!!

Vamos a los West End Rhythm Kings! Anoche mi papa tuvo su primer show tocando el bajo en el pub Bellevue. Mi papa ha estado como loco por tocar en algun show con su bajo nuevo – solo puede tocar guitarra y organo cuando toca conmigo! La banda West End Rhythm Kings toca rock, rockabilly, y blues y en verdad pueden tocar bien! – tuvieron un par de parejas bailando y a todos les encanto la musica. El bar es un lugar fabuloso para tocar – con mucho espacio, piso para bailar, mesa de pool, dardos, y la comida estaba muy rica! El pub fue tomado por un nuevo manager y lo re-abrieron nuevamente, asi que el menu es limitado por ahora, pero probamos la hamburguesa, palitos de queso y pollo, y todo estaba delicioso. La banda va a tocar todos los meses en el pub asi que vengan la proxima vez!!
