Wisconsin for a wedding

So for the last few days, I (Leslie) have been out of town in Chicago, then Madison, WI and now back to Chicago to attend two of the three most important weddings for me this year – my former roommate Missy’s wedding in Madison and my brother’s wedding in Chicago (the third is my cousins wedding in Denver in Oct!). On Thursday I flew into Chicago with my other former roommate Nikita and we stayed the night at our friend Jenn’s house in Mundelein, IL. Friday morning I took off with Jenn, Nik and Mallory (another former roommate!) for Madison, about a 2.5 hour drive through beautiful countryside and, as Mallory was pleased to note, lots of cow pastures – (“it’s not Wisconsin without black and white cows!!”). The wedding on Saturday was one of the BEST weddings I’ve ever attended, complete with (obviously) a radiant bride, a groom who has such a way with words he had all the guests (including his groomsmen!) crying during his speech, incredible food (and an open bar…), cheese samplers, Wisconsin beer, a photobooth and a live band! I’m still reeling from that party. Another huge honor for me was singing during the ceremony – Missy graced my wedding with her heavenly vocal chords – her voice is one of the sweetest sounds known to this world! So when she asked me to sing in hers I couldn’t have been happier. Missy and her husband Jake were both vocal majors at Belmont so 1/2 the wedding guests were talented friends of theirs from undergrad – there was so much singing and music throughout the whole weekend it was awesome!

Todavia me estoy recuperando.

I didn’t take my camera with me (shocking, I know) for all of the adventures but I did get a few photos on my Nikon and iphone sporadically throughout the weekend.
