Morning folks! So last night Javi and I were down on Broadway listening to some music at the bar Margaritaville! I hadn’t ever been to Margaritaville – most of the time when I’m on Broadway I head to Roberts (the honky-tonk) and I’m a creature of habit so I haven’t branched out to many other Broadway musical attractions (I’m a terrible Nashvillian, I know!).

Buenos dias! Ayer Javier y yo fuimos al centro a escuchar algo de musica en Margaritaville! Nunca he ido a este local – la mayoria de las veces cuando voy al centro visito Robert’s y me gusta mntener el habito asi que no me he aventurado a visitar otras atracciones musicales en Broadway (Soy terrible Nasvilliana. lo se!)

Anyway, last tonight we were excited because the musical act was none other than Javier’s former boss’ husband’s band’s (follow that one?) CD release party! They are known as the Boat Jammers and play / write music about boating, being on the water, sailing and other nautical themes. Here are a few photos of the evening:

Pero bueno, ayer estabamos muy emocionados porque el grupo que ibamos a ver era nada mas ni nada menos que la banda de la ex jefa de Javier. La presentacion de su CD! Se llaman los Boat Jammers y tocan musica sobre botes, navegar, veleros y otros temas nauticos. Aqui hay unas pocas fotos de la noche:

The music was really great!! They had so much fun up there and I love it when you can tell that the band is enjoying the show as much as the crowd. My favorite song was about a weiner dog Spike (I think it belongs to one of the band members) and what he’s thinking when he’s in the middle of the sea on a boat. I can totally imagine Chupete or Choripan on a boat in the middle of the ocean thinking “what the !@%$! is going on here?!” Anyway – definitely check out their music here!

La musica estuvo bienisima! Lo pasaron tan bien en el escenario, y me encanta cuando se nota que la banda lo esta pasando tan bien como la audiencia.Creo que mi cancion favorita era una sobre un perro salchicha llamado Spike (creo que era la mascota de un miembro de la banda) y lo que piensa cuando esta flotando en el medio del mar. Me puedo imaginar Chupete o Choripan en un bote en el medio del mar pensando “que !%@!$% estoy haciendo aqui?!” Escuchen algo de su musica aqui!
