Happy pride month!! Please let this be the month that 2020 finds some legs to stand on. I love June - Javi and I both celebrate our birthdays in June, there are always colorful and festive pride celebrations, I usually have 2 or 3 beautiful summer weddings to shoot, the days are hotter but I’m not yet sick of the heat, the fireflies come out - you get the idea. Although covid 19 has postponed 2 beautiful June weddings, this I know: it can’t cancel my birthday, and it can’t cancel pride. It also can’t cancel the warm sun on my face (SPF 50 🙏), or the pleasure of a margarita on my (decaying, must fix soon) back deck. Another thing I know: moving into a new month with a new news cycle does not cancel out everything that is still going on. Since we moved to this house we have had big renovation plans. We believe the house has great potential and we love our location. We have talked to professionals about renovating the home. We still plan on a big change in the future but the state of things right now will not allow us to do it. In the mean time, we are doing what we can to make the house more comfortable and practical for our needs. DIY stuff for now. Pros in the future. Kitchen renovation is moving slowly since we need a functioning kitchen but overall the progress is great and we are happy with the changes.
