I love that both of my creative careers, music and photography, have taken me to so many places I might not have otherwise visited. There are still tons of places I want to see, and Javi and I are looking to plan at least one amazing vacation getaway this year. Our problem is that we’re great at talking about getting away but terrible at actually planning a trip. Do you have any recommendations for lesser-known vacation spots? We are looking for cozy mountain cabin / small town spots. Bonus points if you have a link to an Airbnb or cabin you loved. The last time we crowd sourced for vacation ideas was for our honeymoon (pre-Airbnb era) and we wound up in the perfect spot in Buena Vista Colorado, so maybe we can repeat that success with your recommendations!

Some days are better than others in Big Sister Land. My sweetie has been rolling with the punches so well. Some days it’s best to just let her wear her car jammies all day if that’s what’s gonna make her happy. We are definitely learning to pick our battles around here. #pennyjorod . . . Algunos días son mejores que otros en la tierra de la hermana mayor. Ha sido muy tierna y se aguantado los “golpes” De esta nueva etapa para ella. Algunos días es mejor dejarla que use su pijama de autos todo el día si es lo que la va a hacer feliz. Definitivamente tenemos que escoger con cuidado que batallas luchar.
