Javier

It has always been difficult for me to talk about myself. I think I would rather answer a question, so lets say that you entered this page saying: Javier, tell me something interesting about yourself…

I was born in Punta Arenas, Chile. It’s a small city in the deep south of Chile were summer almost doesn’t exist. I lived there until I was 12-years-old and moved out of my house to pursue my (at that time) dream of becoming a professional tennis player. So I moved to Santiago – about 3 hours north flying – and enrolled in a very competitive tennis academy. At the age of 17 I returned to live with my family for a year. I came home with the intention of moving again, this time to the United States to attend college. I felt like it was necessary to spend some quality time with my family before moving away again. I arrived in Nashville at the age of 18 to attend Belmont University where I played tennis, made friends, got a great education and most importantly…I met my wife. I graduated from Belmont and the enrolled at Lipscomb University to pursue a master’s degree which I finished two years later. We could say that is a quick summary of my Javier Rodriguez life.
In 2009 I married Leslie, and together we started our Los Rodriguez life. After our first anniversary we adopted our first dog, Chupete, shortly after we bought our first house, almost immediately we adopted our second dog, Choripan, and since then every day is a new adventure. I love working on the house, doing some arts and crafts, playing with my dogs, spending time with my wife, exploring new places, and just enjoying the simple things that sometimes we all take for granted. I value family more than anything in this world, and even though many times I dream about having a bunch of things and being able to do anything I want, my family is all I need to be the happiest person on this planet.

Nice job, great photos, and enjoyable posts. Good luck with the workout… it seems like the P90X is pretty tough.
