| Last year we came up with the idea of creating a brand for t-shirts – it would be something fun to work on, a way to make something with my art and maybe make some money off of it and an outlet for creative impulses. After some thought and a couple of different ideas we came up with Chupete shirts! Yeah, so it doesn’t sound uncommon for us using the name Chupete, but this was long before we even knew Chupete the puppy would come into our lives and anyway, this time we used the literal meaning of the word to create a character. The character is a lollipop or sucker doing different things and visiting different places. This past week we received the third design featuring the evolution of Chupete. We always get so excited getting the new design, not only because we can wear new shirts but also because it is cool to see the final product in our hands. Last week, armed with our new shirts and our dogs we decided to go for a little photo shoot. We found an awesome, fun and colorful mural in West Nashville that served as the perfect backdrop for our new colorful shirts. Here are some pics of the latest design!! |
El ano pasado se nos ocurrio la idea de crear una marca de poleras – seria algo entretenido, una manera de hacer algo con mi arte y tal vez hacer algo de plata mientras desarrollo mi espiritu creativo. Luego de de un par de ideas que desechamos, se nos ocurrio crear poleras Chupete! Si, suena como si todo lo que tenemos se llama Chupete, pero esto fue antes de adopter a nuestro perro Chupete y esta vez usariamos el significado real de la palabra y no el sobrenombre. Asi creamos un personaje que le encanta viajar y hacer diferentes actividades. La semana pasada recibimos el tercer diseno de Chupete, “La Evolucion de Chupete”! Siempre nos emocionamos cuando recibimos nuevos disenos, no solo porque podemos usar poleras nuevas pero tambien porque es muy entretenido ver el product final en nustras manos. La semana pasada, armadas con nuestras poleras nuevas y nuestros perros decidimos hacer una pequena sesion de fotos. Encontramos un mural perfecto, muy colorido en el Oeste de Nashville, el fondo perfecto para nuestras poelras nuevas. Aqui van algunas fotos del diseno! |

Love this! Shirt designing always seemed like a fun business. There’s so many directions you can go, you’re practically limitless!! I’m always so impressed when people come up with ideas like this.
